The Eden Project

Finally managed to get some holiday pictures from the boy. We went to the Eden Project while we were away. Very impressive. I think these were my favourite things there...

The Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts

is situated in the grounds of the UEA
They have a permanent collection, and then changing exhibitions alongside...
It was originally a private collection (!) of over 300 works,
belonging to Sir Robert and Lady Sainsbury, donated in 1973, and has now expanded to over 1,300 objects.

These last three from the Egypt section are ones I obviously passed over last time, so this time I sat and made some sketches, and I'm contemplating actually making a couple. Maybe in polymer clay or something... :)

wooden skulls...

Oh I want one! They are so beautiful. Snapped this one in Norwich yesterday...
Would love to own one or carve one or just carry one about for even an hour (might get heavy though)
If you've got £130 handy, do you fancy buying me one??

Looked up their website for more...

mmm lovely.

pom pom pain...

I'd forgotten how much of a pain in the butt pom poms are to make!! lol
But I saw a tissue paper pom pom mobile during my internet browsing, and decided to make a wool one for my cousin for when her baby is born in January.
Seeing as we don't know whether it will be a boy or a girl, I am actually making two
Tissue paper would have been much easier I'm sure...
It's a work in progress...   :)

Inspiration from the blog of Lena Corwin

I'm so excited about there being a baby in the family. Seeing as my brothers and all our cousins are not much different in age there hasn't been a baby about since we were all babies. So this will be the first in a long while, and the first between us all, and I'm really looking forward to it sooooo much!!

Wiz Wants

I have decided to start an additional blog to document some of the things I like to look at for inspiration. After Matt's visit, I realised that we really don't share our resources like we used to - Maybe because we don't need to :p
At school it was easier, we were usually working on the same projects and had to do some research!
But these are just some of the things that interest me, that I hope will also be of interest to you...
